 Ted Ryce: Hey, I'm Ted Ryce with the Lean After 50 program. And look, a lot of people like to start master classes like these with some jokes or talking about themselves. I want to skip all that. We've got a lot to cover, so with your permission, let's dive right in. This is for any entrepreneur or high performing professional, over 50 who wants to transform their body in eight weeks without sacrificing their business momentum or social life.

So many people are confused about this because of all the nonsense on social media and what you can do to start turning this around today, even if you've tried and failed multiple times before. 

Why traditional diets and time consuming workouts are the worst way? To get lean is strong after 50 and a radical new approach that works. Three times faster. How to pinpoint exactly what your body really needs from you after 50, even if it seems like a total mystery at the moment. You've worked so hard. To achieve. You don't have to stop going to Michelin star restaurants and five star vacations. You can live your life and be lean and full of energy. And my promise to you is you are gonna learn a step-by-step strategy to drop 15 to 20 pounds and build lean muscle after 50 and eight weeks or less. 

But before we get into all that, let me just check in really quick. To see where you're at. So does this sound like you ever catch yourself in the mirror while getting ready and think, who is that? Like you don't even recognize the guy staring back. A lot of my clients say that one moment in the morning messes with their entire day, and it's not that you're avoiding golf or vacations, you're still doing those things, but when it's time to take a photo or take your shirt off, you'd really rather not. 

You know that exercise is key to your health and mental performance, but you're working so hard, you can't seem to find the time. And some nights it hits harder. You're lying there wondering, how long am I gonna be around for my family? Or what is my life gonna look like if my health keeps going downhill? 

And you feel frustrated, especially if you've crushed it in other areas of life. If you built success financially and you take good care of your family, but. Now your body doesn't match the man you know that you are. And maybe the hardest part, you wonder if it's too late to turn things around. And if you've let things slide so long that feeling strong, confident, and in control, again is out of your reach, and most of all, are you secretly afraid it's too late. 

You missed your chance to get your body to look the way you want, like that window is closed, that that opportunity in life is gone and you blame your age slow metabolism or maybe low testosterone. Well, if any of that sounds like you. Then I have great news 'cause none of those things are the real problem. 

The real problem is that you haven't made what I call the shifts, and we'll talk about what those are in just a moment. But for right now, just to understand this, once you make them every morning, you'll look in the mirror and feel like your belly is butter on a hot pan. The stubborn fat keeps melting away faster than you ever thought possible. 

You'll walk taller, speak more confidently, and you'll command respect the moment you enter a room just by your presence, you'll make more sales, close more deals, scale your company, whatever it is that you're working towards and all with less effort, you'll bound outta bed each morning. You'll feel a surge of natural energy that carries youth effortlessly through 12 hour days. 

While team members half your age struggle to keep up, you'll look at photos of yourself and feel pride instead of embarrassment, knowing that your physical presence finally matches your financial success. You'll fully engage in physical activities with your family, creating precious memories instead of watching from the sidelines. 

I hear this from so many of my clients. They avoid photos, they avoid doing things because physically they're just not in a good place. And instead of dreading the years ahead, which so many men do, you'll wake up excited. You'll know that you've got the strength to hike mountains with your grandkids, dance at weddings, travel the world and make every moment count with the people you love. 

Because this is what we're really talking about when it comes to. Losing weight when it comes to building muscle, we're talking about improving the quality of your life there. A Rolex isn't gonna do that. A Ferrari's not gonna do that, but getting in shape. It'll change everything. Now really quickly, let me introduce myself so that you know who I am and why you should listen to me. 

So, as I said at the beginning, my name is Ted Ryce. I'm the founder and creator of the Lean After 50 program. And look, I've been doing this for 25 years before TikTok, before Twitter or X before Instagram. Before all the nonsense and the noise on social media, I was getting results. And I've trained celebrities like Robert Downey Jr. 

Sir Richard Branson, Ricky Martin, and hundreds of successful leaders and entrepreneurs to transform their bodies and feel younger again. And today. I'm gonna show you exactly how they did it because the vast majority of our clients were able to do this. Even if they failed with diets and exercise programs for decades, or if they had a demanding travel schedule and an active social, like those things are not the reason that you're not getting results. 

You can still have those things. You can still travel and have an active social life, or even if you had old entries that you thought would limit you forever. So look. We get incredible transformations in my Lean After 50 program, but the truth is it wasn't always that way. I've spent 25 years, a quarter of a century coaching entrepreneurs and high performing professionals, and during that time I've seen some people, some of my clients create jaw dropping physical transformations. 

I mean, it looks like they are aging in reverse. Benjamin Button style. While gaining energy and vitality, most men in their twenties would envy. But I've also seen other people follow the same exact diet and exercise advice as everyone else willing to end up exhausted, frustrated, and feeling worse than when they started, so they would lose the weight and gain it back, or pushing themselves in the gym, get injured, stop, lose everything they worked for, get depressed after that. 

I don't know if that resonates with you, but so many people get depressed after they get injured. It's like all your work goes down the drain. So we started studying the top performers who seem to effortlessly shed fat and build muscle without extreme measures, even while running multimillion dollar companies or flying to a different country every week. 

And I realized with myself and my top clients, there were five very specific things they were doing. So we started applying those five shifts to our approach and almost immediately saw transformations happen at a faster rate. We're talking three times faster. Then we built those five shifts into the Lean after 50 program and everything changed. 

Look, my clients, they're not just losing weight, they're showing up to boardroom, sharper, more confident. Finally looking like the man they've always envisioned themselves to be. And so look, there are five shifts you need to make in order to transform your body in eight weeks. And again, this will work even if you failed before I. 

Stand without giving up your lifestyle. So I'm gonna walk you through all five right here in this presentation. The first shift you need to make to transform your body after 50 is stop making excuses. The foundation of any successful physical transformation is taking full responsibility for your results. 

If you're like most executives over 50, you've probably caught yourself saying things like. I'm too old to change. My metabolism is too slow. I'll wait until life slows down. I don't have time with my schedule. These excuses, they might feel valid in the moment, but they're actually the primary reason you haven't achieved the transformation you want. 

When you make excuses, you give your power away. Instead of acting like the CEO of your own body. Now, the problem is that the way most successful men try to stop making excuses is hopelessly flawed, and here's why. Most leaders try to combat excuses with harsh self-criticism and unrealistic expectations. 

They think they can simply tough it out the same way they powered through business challenges in their thirties and forties. But when you do this in this way, you create an internal environment of pressure and stress that actually makes transformation harder, not easier. Your body responds to this mental pressure by elevating stress hormones, which makes fat gloss even more difficult, and it creates a frustrating cycle of increased effort with diminishing returns. 

The right way to eliminate excuses is to accept your current reality and find something that fits your schedule, not some idealized version of your life that doesn't even exist. And you know you're doing this. If you keep starting a routine, then stopping because. I got busy or if you're still waiting for the right time to get started. 

Total nonsense. The right time was 20 years ago. Second best time is right now. So instead of saying, I don't have time, accept your current circumstances and figure out what you need to do, what small actions you have time to take. For example, I had a client do 10 minute body weight workouts in his office before work. 

  1. Five days a week, he ended up losing 20 pounds in the process of working with me. No, it's not ideal, but guess what? He was taking action and took consistent action. He stopped making excuses. And instead of saying, I'm too old, look, that's nonsense. Look at examples of men your age and older who successfully transformed their bodies.

Think of Hugh Jackman and Jason Statham, . I have so many clients who are over 50 who created dramatic transformations. I'm 48. I was fat in my mid thirties. I'm so much more, uh, lean now and effortlessly lean than I was in my thirties. You can do it. 

It's not your age. You gotta stop making these excuses. Because when you do this, you transform from someone who's blaming circumstances outside your control and waiting for perfect conditions to someone who's making calculated decisions about how to optimize your health within your real life constraints. 

Because these excuses are lies we tell ourselves to avoid doing the hard work. I'm gonna say that again. Excuses are the lies we tell ourselves to avoid doing the hard work it takes to reclaim our health in this phase of our life. So the moment you catch yourself making an excuse. Look, recognize it as a flashing warning sign. 

You're about to sabotage yourself without eliminating excuses. You'll be forever waiting for that mythical right time to get started or, and I see this a lot. You'll give up every time. Life gets busy. Hey, what happened? You were looking so good. All life got busy wrong. You made an excuse. 'cause with a no excuses mindset, you'll approach your body like a high value asset. 

It is deserving of strategic attention and investment regardless of external circumstances. That's the truth. 

Shift number two, train for the body you have. Now, what do I mean by that? Your body at 50 and over has fundamentally different needs than it did decades ago trying to lose weight and build muscle. 

Using the same approaches from your twenties, like strict diets, intense cardio, or heavy lifting is exactly why you're stuck. Here's how to do this instead of punishing your 50 plus body with brutal high impact workouts designed for 20 year olds with lower inflammation levels and no injuries. You'll implement time efficient, joint friendly resistance training that works with your biology not against it. 

And I created a special approach called muscle activation or the muscle activation method, and it creates a maximum metabolic response in just two hours per week. This changes everything because you stop using outdated methods that just aren't designed for your age and start using smart techniques that activate more muscle. 

Less joint stress. The result is you get three times faster results in a way that feels rejuvenating rather than depleting. Let me tell you something. If you're in the gym and your, your joints are feeling worse, you're doing it wrong, you're doing it wrong because at this stage of life, it's not about pushing harder, it's about training smarter. 

And look, when I say you're doing it wrong, I'm not trying to sound condescending. I made these mistakes and I'm trying to save you for making them as well. 

My client, Dan G, when he came to us, he was disgusted with being overweight and exhausted. 

He was especially frustrated because despite his success as a top tier divorce attorney, he looked quite sloppy physically. He wanted to change it. His goal was to look like the athletic confident leader. He felt inside, rather than the overweight attorney staring back in him in the mirror. And he wasted two decades trying to figure this out on his own without lasting success. 

Does that sound like you? Have you spent a decade, five years, 10 years, 20 years, several decades, right? Trying to figure this out, and then you look in the mirror and you still look like Dan. What we did was we told him to stop fighting his body and start understanding it by establishing his unique biological blueprint. 

That's something I'm gonna talk about a bit later. Look, when I told Dan about the biological blueprint, he thought it was a little crazy, but he was willing to give it a shot. So we analyzed his routine habits and lifestyle. We actually created 20 minutes strategic workouts that fit inside his busy schedule. 

The result in just four months, Dan lost 40 pounds of fat. That's true and it is also true. He did four 20 minute strategic workouts. Now, I said two hours. That's a little bit less than two hours. 

Why? Because Dan said if you write me a program longer than 20 minutes, I ain't gonna do it. Well, I added the ain't part, but he said he wasn't gonna do it, so we made it work. Dan's never even been that lean his entire life, and this had a ripple effect throughout his entire life. 

His stress levels drop, his energy levels soared, and he also naturally started drinking less. Look, I. Dan is on top of the world, all because he started using methods, specifically calibrated for his unique 50 plus physiology. He's moving like a 30-year-old on the tennis court and recently enjoyed a guilt-free vacation to Majorca without gaining any weight. 

And the best part is he eliminated his constant fear that chasing wild while ignoring his health would lead to a stroke or heart attack within the decade because that is exactly the path he's on or was on, sorry, not on anymore. And it's possible for you to, and it's all by working with your current biology instead of fighting against it. It's so important. 

So here's the bottom line. When you do this, this way, you feel like you're getting younger, your joints feel better, your energy levels rise. You stop feeling so sluggish in the morning, things stop hurting as much, all by working with your current biology instead of against it. 

So let's talk about shift number three, which is use the secret weapon and what is that? And if you are gonna be able to maintain your level of fitness, you don't want to even mess around with it. And I also wanna say this, have you tried any of this stuff in the past? And you got nowhere or gained the way back or hurt yourself. 

It wasn't your fault. It's what everybody is out there preaching on social media. So conventional wisdom is a recipe for conventional results. It's such a simple concept, a platitude, if you will, but it's so true. Everyone's telling you that if you want to transform your body after 50, you need to cut out every carb like it owes your money wrong. 

Kill yourself in the gym with heavy deadlifts and other heavy lifts, and hit training again, wrong. Do coal plunges inject peptides and other biohacks? Look, if you've got a belly, you shouldn't be messing around with that stuff. Spend thousands a month with the best NAD plus IV drips, again, throwing your money away. 

Follow workouts for guys in their twenties who don't have joint pain. Track calories obsessively like you're being audited by the IRS. And just push through the pain, and then maybe just maybe you'll look and feel better. Here's why this is dumb. These approaches were never designed for your unique 50 plus male physiology with its specific hormonal needs and recovery requirements. 

You can't have those strict diets and push yourself and expect good results. So let's talk about how to create that. One of my favorite transformations,. These guys are all incredible, but Jeff, uh, was interesting because when he came to us, he was obsessed with losing weight. That was priority one. He was doing CrossFitting following keto diet without getting results. 

It's sad, but that's the sad state of so many people who are following these generic approaches. So we fixed that right away. He also wanted more time freedom. He felt like he was doing too much in the gym, spending too much on this and still not getting results.

Which brings us to the final shift, which is invest in mentoring, and I hope you realize that what most people are doing, this generic one size fits all diets and fitness programs. 

That they did in their thirties. It just doesn't work. It's the wrong way if you want to transform your body after 50, because a lot of it clashes with your physiology and with your lifestyle. So just like trying to scale a business without expert guidance would be financial suicide. Doing this by yourself is a recipe for being stuck for decades. 

Just like Dan, just like Trevor, just like Jeff. Everyone who wants to transform their body after 50 should have a mentor because a great mentor and emphasis on great. Here brings two things, strategy and accountability. Think about this. You didn't build your business by spending twinning years doing trial and error. 

You invested in mentors and advisors who had already achieved what you wanted because this compresses decades of learning into months and accelerates your path to financial success. 'cause here's the harsh truth. Most men will never reclaim their peak health after 50. They might try and try hard, but they'll follow contradictory advice from sources that just don't understand their unique physiology. 

They'll waste years on ineffective approaches and eventually give up because you know what? I'm too old. I tried it right. I did everything right when the truth is you just didn't know what you were doing. The truth is. Also, you deserve more and great mentoring insurers that you get it. The same business wisdom that led you to seek expert guidance to grow your business applies directly to your health. 

You wouldn't waste years trying to figure out complex market dynamics on your own. We could. You could just partner with someone who's already mastered them, and if you want to maximize your chances of transforming your body in eight weeks instead of wasting. Another decade on frustrating trial and error, then you need the proven strategy and relentless accountability. 

Only the right mentor can bring. Because the right mentor can help you do more in 30 days than you can in 30 years. It's true. So look, now you have a choice. You can keep following strict diets and never be able to enjoy the fine dining or social life.
