Podcast Transcription: Unstoppable After 40 Coaching Program: Frequently Asked Questions

Ted Ryce: I'm going to be answering the most frequently asked questions from people who are on the fence about coaching.

So, if you're in this situation where you've seen the results that I get in my program, but you're not sure how I do it, you're not sure what equipment my clients are using or what you might need to use.

If you join my program, The foods you might have to eat or how much time are these people spending? And what's the difference between doing a coaching program and personal training? Well, I'm going to answer all those questions and more. So, let's dive right in.

What if I don't have access to a gym or equipment?

And let me tell you, it's a great question, but it shows that coaching would be great for you because this isn't about equipment.

No equipment? That's not a problem. Every workout is customized to fit the needs of our client. Many of our clients have home workouts, gym workouts, travel workouts, sometimes one of them, sometimes all of them. It doesn't matter the tool that you use the same training principles apply. And so don't get caught up about tools.

Certainly, if you have a 10, 000 square foot gym with every piece of equipment ever made, that's going to make some things easier for you. But listen, I work out all over the world. Sometimes I don't have a gym. Sometimes I work out in my apartment. In fact, in 2020, I got into amazing shape with nothing more than body weight exercises. And that's it. And exercise bands, you don't need a lot of equipment, hardly any equipment.

And more importantly, though, every program needs to be based on your needs, preferences, and availability, because if you're not going to go to the gym, then you need a home workout. If it's too long of a drive and I've had clients who have 90 minute gym workouts and I have clients who have 10 minute home workouts and yes, you can get great results in a short workout at home.

In fact, the client that I'm thinking of lost 20 pounds in four months because it has more to do with nutrition than training. So, spoiler alert there. Let's move on to the next question.

I've been part of other programs and didn't get results. How do I know this will work? And look, I can't speak for other programs because there's so many out there.

I've worked with a coach before who was excellent and helped me. And I had already been coaching. I've done a lot of mentorships. So, I can't tell you. There's so many programs out there, but what I can tell you is we focus on getting our clients results within the first week.

Because I've found after 25 years of coaching high achievers, that number one, people are skeptical these days because of all the claims.

I know how it is. I see what's out there. I've been a coach for 25 years and I didn't study marketing or sales or any of that stuff until I started working on the internet actually towards the end of my personal training career, because I figured out that I need to have some business structures in place to help communicate just like this, what I do.

However, what I'm getting at here is we don't ask for you to believe in us. We ask for you to believe in the results. In fact, my mission is to help you lose 10 pounds in the first four weeks of our coaching. And if that sounds crazy to you, what happens all the time? Go look at my testimonials.

Go look at the client's results that I get happens all the time. And one of the things that we coach you on is the right mindset. The other thing is, yes, you probably know the principles, for example, calorie deficit, progressive overload, but how you apply those to a person. I have some specialized systems.

I have my phase one rapid fat loss system. I have my phase two sustainable fat loss system. I've created systems again. They don't violate any principles, but I have these systems that work extremely well. And the promise here is that you can lose weight without spending a lot of hours in the gym or being on strict diets.

And I've done this for over a quarter of a century now. So, I want to also say this, I understand the unique challenges that high achievers face. Business travel, socializing at network events, taking five-star vacations where you don't want to skip the excellent meals that'll be available. If the chef's name is on the dessert menu, I mean, and you want it, I help you lose fat, maintain it while having that type of experience.

And again, after testing my systems with hundreds of high achievers, I developed a formula that will lead you to success with your body health and performance. All you need to do is follow it. And I'll say one more thing. This is not for people who have no motivation. If you're struggling to get up and do something for your health, start there first, but if you're a person, you're already working hard, I had a client sign up for two years.

He'd been exercising, doing his best with nutrition, been stuck at the same weight for two years, just signed up. He's already lost five pounds in the first week. Okay. All you need to do is follow it.

So let's get into what does the program cost? And I want to frame it like this for you. Okay. LeBron James invests over a million dollars a year in his body.

Brian Johnson, the entrepreneur invests over 2 million a year in his body. Why is that the case? Because it's clear that Fortune 500 CEOs have better returns, higher stock prices, higher merger and acquisition exits when they're investing in their health. That's based on research.

And of course you may not view yourself like LeBron James. He's a professional athlete, but even LeBron was saying investing in his health has given him more longevity in his sport. And the argument I make for my high performers is investing in your body also gives you more longevity running your business because less sick days, higher morale from the company that you're inI mean, there's just no downsides to being in better shape.

It's not going to directly lead. You're not going to lose fat and hit a PR on the bench press and it's going to make you more money, but it's going to allow you all the things that you need to do in your life, whether it's in your business or career or being with your family, it's going to improve those things.

So, look, if you want to invest 2 million a year, like Brian Johnson, we can help figure that out. But most clients will invest anywhere from a hundred K with us on the high end or as low as 3, 500 on the low end. And I want to tell you this, the average American is already investing 5, 300 every year.

That's based on the latest statistics on the wellness industry. And that's what's average. Supplements, Pelotons that people aren't using supplements that hang out in the, in the cabinet and they're not getting results.

So, if you want to be average, that's totally fine. But if you're not willing to invest at least 10 K a year in your body, you're never going to be above average. Like I said, we have options for everyone all the way down to 3, 500.

So how much time will I need to dedicate in this daily? And how will I fit it into my already busy schedule?

Look, I get it. Time is our most valuable resource. That's why this program is designed to be efficient and flexible. When you hop on the onboarding call with me, we're going to come up with a program customized to your schedule, and it can even be adjusted if your schedule changes, this happens all the time with my clients, that's the power of coaching.

If you're following a cookie cutter program and then your time availability changes, but your workout says 60 minutes and you don't know how to adapt it. That's why a lot of people quit. People quit keto because they can't keep it up, but I teach you how to be flexible. And again, we've had clients doing 10 minute workouts or 15 minute workouts in their office. And getting great results.

And I've had clients spending 90 minutes in the gym four times a week. However, the average is around two hours per week. Most importantly, you'll learn how to stay consistent throughout the year. No matter how much time you have to dedicate to your health and fitness, the consistency leads to better results than the intensity.

So, I'll leave you with that.

What's the difference between you and a personal trainer or other high end online programs? So look, I spent 19 years working with CEOs and celebrities as a personal trainer in Miami beach.

One of the reasons I left was because while I think personal training is great, if someone is not going to work out, in other words, they're like, the only reason I work out is because I meet my personal trainer three times a week.

And if I didn't have that, I wouldn't work out. It's great for that. Or if someone's really new to working out and they want to learn how to do exercise or perform exercises properly, but it's terrible for transforming their body and health. And the reason why is this your personal trainer. I know how it is.

They're training you. And when they're not training you, they're training other clients and working on other clients and developing workouts, but they're not looking at your health metrics. They're not looking at your nutrition because. It's hard to give advice in between sets of squats when you're huffing and puffing.

That's what happened to me. I was even a health coach and I tried to sell my clients on the idea of health coaching, but they just wanted to work out nothing wrong with that. But that's why you don't get great results because while the gym is important, it's what happens outside the gym that determines your results, your sleep, your nutrition, your blood work, what you do on vacation, how you handle the holidays, how you deal with stress, how you deal with work travel.

Most trainers do what I used to do. They give you a basic nutrition program, give you some tips in between exercises. It just doesn't lead to world class results. So my program is like having a personal trainer, a nutritionist, a mindset coach, accountability partner, and concierge all in one. We do so many things that I can't even cram it into this presentation because it would just be too long and you'd probably lose track.

So here are a few things that we do. We personalize your workout and nutrition plan to fit your busy lifestyle and preferences. We help you choose what to eat when you're going out so you can make choices that lead to the results you want. Even when you're on the road, we create workouts for you based on anywhere you're traveling in the world.

For example, in Europe, a lot of places don't have gyms in the Airbnbs or the hotels. So, what do you do in that situation? Well, I've traveled to Europe many times. I love Europe. I know exactly what to do. I know exactly how to stay in shape and I coach my clients and they get great results doing it too.

We work through your mindset block. So, habits you learn become automatic and part of your identity. We hold you highly accountable and coach you through calls and texts to make sure you're staying on the plan. This is so key. I don't know how you feel when you hear accountability, but this is key because we keep you your health and fitness front of your mind.

So, when life is starting to push it back to the end of the line, we help bring it to the front again. That way we can solve problems quickly. We can adjust things if you're not getting results. It's just health coaching is so amazing. I can't say enough about it.

We also hope you find locations to get your body fat tests and blood work done to track important markers of health. That's something that I'd started doing in the past couple of years. And it's been so important to clients and people get better results because if you have some fatty liver or some issues with dyslipidemia or hyperglycemia, we can help you with those things.

We specialize in working with successful entrepreneurs and high performing individuals over 40 with limited time to work out. We help people exactly like you.

How do I know if I'm ready to join your program? I feel I may be too busy with my kids, family, work, et cetera.

Look as a busy entrepreneur myself, I understand your concern, but here's the truth. There is no best time to start taking care of your health. There's only your readiness to change. I want you to think about that. I'm going to say it again. There's no best time to stick. Well, there is the best time it was 10 years ago.

It was when you were young. Okay. When you were growing up as a young child, that was the best time to start learning and taking care of your health. The second best time is now. It doesn't get easier to change. As you get older, your lifestyle never slows down. When you have some time, you just fill it back up. You have to be ready to change.

And I want to say one more thing about this. I've seen people who are too busy to take care of their health. They got a diagnosis of diabetes or had a heart attack or had cancer. And guess what happened? Their schedule cleared up magically.

So, I'm trying to save you from that. If you're not in good health, if you've got a big belly, if you've got some markers that are off on your blood work last time that you went to the doctor, I'm trying to prevent that from happening. So you don't get to the point where you're forced to deal with your health.

And most of our clients are tired of being tired. They desperately need to improve their energy levels so they can perform better at work, have more energy to keep up with their kids or to have a better relationship with their partners. Or another thing is you just don't feel good when you see yourself in the mirror. You feel like, you know what? I'm not average in any area of my life, but then I look in the mirror and you know what I feel average.

So, what I can tell you is the longer you put off your health, the harder it will be to change it. Except when you know, you get that heart attack or diagnosis, all of a sudden you get super motivated. You find out you have diabetes. You find out that your calcium score puts you at risk for a heart attack in the next 10 years.

So poor health causes issues. It causes fatigue, brain fog, aches and pains, lack of confidence, and it'll put you at risk for diseases that will really screw up your life.

The other point is that if you learn how to get in shape when your time is tight, it'll be easy to stay in shape when you do have time.

So yes, you can absolutely do this while growing your business or career, taking care of your kids. You simply need to work smarter, not harder. And that's what I specialize in.

I'll show you how in our coaching program, we believe in strategy and systems get the right strategy and pair it with a good system is how successful bodies get built because again, as you get older, it doesn't get easier.

So bottom line, successful people do not negotiate their dreams around circumstances, your life will never line up perfectly. The best time to start was decades ago, but the second best time is now.

How can I trust what work for you or others will be applicable to my unique circumstances?

Look, trust is earned. I get it. And in this world where everybody is making claims. Especially in the health and fitness world, I'm here to earn yours. Your situation is unique, but the principles and practices we employ have been proven effective across a wide range of individuals for over 25 years. You're not that special.

You are a special, but your body does not defy, unless you float, you defy gravity. Look, if you're not defying the laws of physics, I can help you. And the best way I can help you is to help tailor your program to your lifestyle. And I've just had over 25 years of doing this. So as long as you commit, as long as you're willing to do the work, in fact, if you're already doing the work, but you're not seeing results, you're my best type of client.

I can show you how to get incredible results and how to keep them long after you've left my program.

So why is there no button to sign up for the unstoppable after 40 program without a call? Look, I don't work with just anybody. So, a call is a prerequisite before we prescribe a regime because health and wellness, it's unique.

The principles are not unique, but how you apply them is unique. So, I need to understand your body type and physical state, previous experience with any fitness regimen in the past patterns of what may or may not have worked with you goals so that we can set milestones and realistic monthly expectations, health issues, injuries, and existing medications.

Your life and work schedule, any obstacles that may prevent you from achieving your goals. And after we examine all that, we propose a personalized program that fits you in your lifestyle. Everything about our programs is tailored to you because what we offer is lifelong sustainable program for fat loss, health. And longevity.

So who will help me throughout the program?

Well, me, I know a lot of other coaches who don't do coaching anymore. There's nothing wrong with that. I may get to that point, but I'm still working with all my clients. So, a lot of the other coaches, especially the ones that you see have been.

Done quite well for themselves, hats off to them. They're a better business than me, although doubt they're better at coaching, but they don't work with people anymore. They train a team and the team works with you. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm still working with clients for the time being.

What benefits and results can I expect from the Unstoppable After 40 program?

Results may vary, but most clients report these positive outcomes in the first 90 days. You're going to sleep better. Stress levels will decline. You'll lose between eight to 10 pounds. You will have greater energy levels. Your strength will increase on the first 30 days. In 60, you're going to shed an average of five to seven pounds per month.

Your mood is going to feel better. You're going to have a mental transformation that has even been effective for people suffering from clinical depression or anxiety. We've had people who had great progress simply because improving your physiology improves your psychology. In fact, it's the foundation.

You're going to gain greater muscle mass in 90 days. Again, you're going to shut a shed an average of five pounds per month. Cholesterol levels and blood pressure will drop. You'll reduce or even eliminate low back pain, knee pain, and other aches and pains. Those are the types of experiences our clients have had.

So, what is the recommended age range for the unstoppable after 40 program? And look, really, most of our clients are in, in between 40 and say 60. Well, I work with people who are a little bit younger? It really depends. I have a client right now. He's a entrepreneur. He's I think 35. So if I remember correctly, he's in his mid thirties.

And, uh, I've worked with clients who are in their seventies, but most of our clients are in between 40 and 60.

What biomarkers does the unstoppable after 40 program check during the lab testing?

So look, we track more than 80 biomarkers. We want to do a big dive into your health. There's nothing wrong. Like I'm a big fan of doctors. If I get some sort of illness, you better believe I'm going to the hospital. I'm going to see my doctor. What we do is, uh, we get you into what we feel is optimal ranges versus. You know, you may be on the verge of being pre diabetic, so you're not in the pre diabetes. This was me, by the way.

I was almost pre diabetic. My fasting glucose was high. My doctor didn't really say anything about it. He said it was high, said my cholesterol was high, but he didn't want to put me on a statin and I didn't have diabetes. So, what's he going to do? He said it. I don't even think he gave me any advice actually.

So that's what we're going to work on. We're going to get you into the optimal ranges. That's what we're going to shoot for.

So, do you need a gym membership? What kind of fitness equipment is required? No, a gym membership is not necessary. That's kind of goes with that first question. We work with you to structure routine for a gym.

If that's your preference, just to build on that first question that answered, we have clients who train at home. We have clients who have a gym membership. We also have clients who they have a hybrid approach for some time at working out sometime at the gym and also for travel.

So it does the unstoppable after 40 program work for women too.

Yeah, for sure. I mostly work with men over 40. But we do selectively coach spouses, significant others, and family members as well. So let us know that's something you're interested in.

Who's the ideal candidate? Men over 40, in between 40 and 60. You're already accustomed to exercise, but you're seeking a new approach.

You've been prioritizing your business and career over your health. You're action oriented and ready for change. And you want to be unstoppable in your 40s.

This is a good one. I have high cholesterol levels and high blood pressure. Can you still coach me? Most of our clients, the whole goal is to get your cholesterol levels under control and your high blood pressure.

Most of that will happen through weight loss and exercise, but we also help you with supplementation or let's say evidence-based supplementation that will help with these things. And I do that because I believe that these issues, they make it harder to stay in shape. If your cellular health is in the dumps, even if you lose weight, you may need some extra help to feel and perform your best.

Are there dietary restrictions? No, we work with you to fit your lifestyle. Although if you're vegan, I'm probably not the best coach for you. Okay. I've had multiple vegans. Want to work with me, but it just, I don't think it's a good fit. So, if you're a vegan, I'd recommend you find a vegan coach, but I've worked with vegetarians.

So, if you're, you know, if you're not, so let's say strict with your diet approach, I can help you.

What's the next level of fitness beyond unstoppable after 40 program? I have three levels of my program, really the intro level. If you have body fat to lose, we need to focus on that, but it's something we can talk about.

The last question here. I have lower back pain, knee pain, and joint issues. Can you still coach me? And so many of our clients experience these exact issues. Our ability to help you depends on. Let's say the extent of the medical condition you're working with.

For example, I've worked with people who had double knee replacements, help them lose a lot of weight and get back in shape and lengthen the life of their knee replacements.

I've worked with people who've had cancer. I've worked with people who've had a heart attack and had stents put in their arteries. Knee pain, back pain. I've worked with people with all those problems over the past 25 plus years, I've been working in health and fitness.

So, we would have to talk first before I would know if you were appropriate for our program, because we're after a very specific type of person. We're trying to create body transformations for people and really improve their health. Of course, we're not going to turn you away if you're highly motivated.

But what I would say is we, we need to hop on a call before I know that I can help you. Okay? And if it's a chronic issue, that's very easy. Those are workarounds, but if it's something serious that would require a conversation and perhaps even working together with your doctor, which is something I've done in the past as well.

So, keep that in mind. And that was the last question, but I wanted to finish up with this. I can't explain everything about my coaching program in this FAQ video. So, if you want to learn more, if you want to just cut right to the chase and hop on a call with me, because you feel like, okay, I know enough, let's hop on a call.

I want to see if this is right for me. Go to www.legendarylifepodcast.com/call . If you're still on the fence, you still need more convincing and look, I get it. We're in an interesting world here where you want to make sure you're making the right choice because time is the most valuable asset we all have.

And you don't want to waste any of yours, check out my testimonials page to see the results that I get. I've even interviewed my clients on the testimonial page so you can hear. Their experience from them instead of for me, you go to www.legendarylifepodcast.com/coaching, and you can see those testimonials.

And if you want to overview of my systems, then watch my masterclass go to www.legendarylifepodcast.com/masterclass

The last thought I want to leave you with is you're in a moment right now where you want to take action. Do not put this off. Here's what happens: You're in this moment. You're researching.

You're like, okay, what am I going to do? I'm going to take my health to the next level. I'm tired of this, or I want a better body or want better health. Do not waste this moment by over analyzing focus on taking action. What the best course of action is? That's up to you, but do not waste your motivation.

Take action. Do not research, research is just getting lost in procrastinating. You'll have to make the leap of faith. You'll have to make the leap of faith. If you're willing to take that, I'm here for you. But again, take action. That's what I want to leave you with. Have an amazing day and speak to you soon!
