234: The Most Powerful Way To Get Motivated


 

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say to me, “We’re all going to die, so what’s the point of putting in all the effort just to be healthy?” What’s the point of working out and eating healthy if I don’t enjoy it? Look, I get it, why shouldn’t you want to give into every desire and temptation that comes your way. As great as that sounds, the reality is acting on every impulse is going to leave you riddled with disease, lacking energy, lacking the ability to function and dependent.

 

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Wouldn’t I rather live more years so that I can truly live life to the fullest?
  • Isn’t part of enjoying life having lots of energy and minimal pain?
  • Can I live a fulfilled life when I am held down with extra weight and disease?
  • What would life be like if I couldn’t do simple tasks, like playing with my children?
  • Do I enjoy being tired all the time?
  • Can I afford to be unhealthy?

 

Why should you make the effort to be healthy?

Eventually, every day begins and in the first few minutes, you will have to face yourself day after day and the effects of living a life out of control. I used to be that guy; I’ve spent years harming myself and dreaded facing the day because of how horrible I felt. Now, I wake up excited and ready take on the day because I started taking better care of myself. I want you to feel excited about your life too and health and fitness is the foundation for that to happen.

I want you to know that there is another choice if you practice treating yourself well. If you exercise, eat well, drink enough water, and get good quality of sleep. Positive actions will reap positive memories and a deep meaningful sense of accomplishment and a sense of, “I’m doing the right thing for myself.”

If you’re guilty of focusing all your energy on working hard and trying to make more money instead of focusing on health. And your health is deteriorating, the pounds are coming on, your waistline is increasing and your blood pressure and cholesterol is going up. I want you to know that it is preventable but it starts with making a decision to take action.

 

Take control of your health
